Cam Christmas Lights Switch-on

The Cam Christmas Lights Switch-on and Fair takes place on Saturday, November 26th from 2.30 – 4.30pm in the centre of the village.

From fairground rides and real snow, to children’s TV character appearances, music and delicious food and drink, there’s something for everyone!

Shops all down the High Street will be open and offering special activities for the event. The memorial hall will have a Santa’s grotto, 20 local stalls and a barbecue. The High Street will have a music stage, festive donkey rides, face-painting, lucky dip, scooter track (with most festive scooter competition) and local business activities.

Meanwhile the fairground will be in the council car park, outside the Berry Blue Café, with the snow machine, and in the same area there will also be a hot homemade soup station, sweet treats, hot food and drink and children’s craft activities.

There will also be an Ice Grotto with Elsa and Anna, chocolate fountain and bauble decorating.

A raffle has been put together with over 50 fantastic prizes and raffle tickets can be bought from local traders ahead of the event.

The Christmas Lights will be switched on at 4.30pm by children’s TV Paw Patrol characters.

Cam High Street will be closed to all traffic on the day between 2-5pm, from outside A1 Appliances to China Chef. There will be access to Tesco, Chapel Street & Fairmead from Cam Pitch. And to Knapp Lane, Nasse Court & Court House Gardens from Draycott. Drivers are advised to use Manor Avenue as a diversion.
