Cake and craft for adults and children

We are delighted to be offering pottery painting sessions at Berry Blue Café in conjunction with local business Smarty Pots, a mobile pottery painting business.

Kelly Lawfull from Dursley who runs Smarty Pots will be running open sessions in the café as a trial initially on a Wednesday from 1.30pm starting July 11th, but if popular they could become a regular event.

She’ll be based in the children’s corner, but this isn’t an activity just for children. It’s for any age – anyone that wants to make a bespoke handmade pottery item really. It’s great for children as an afternoon of activity or to do as personal gifts.

You pay per item you want to create, prices vary depending in the size of item, from an egg cup to a plate or a teapot, and Kelly takes them away and glazes them and returns when the treatment process is complete.

This is a pop-in session, starting at 1.30pm until around 4pm. We are offering a 10% discount on food and drink for people doing the activity, so if you’d like to enjoy a lunch before or an early tea after you can make the most of the offer – or simply enjoy a coffee and piece of cake whilst you paint!

What a lovely, relaxing afternoon activity. We hope to see you there.
